The new investment should see Amazon’s fleet grow to more than 10,000 by 2025. It also expects to purchase and roll out more than 1,500 eHGVs in its European fleet, including more than 700 in the UK in the coming years.
Amazon is signing up towards Net Zero by investing over £850m to support work in further electrifying its fleet and transportation networks. The company already has more than 3,000 EVs delivering across Europe.
Over £300 million of this investment will be in the UK, expanding the company’s existing EV fleet.
