Nissan Leaf Battery Issue

Hi All,

I have a 2016, 30kWh Leaf. It was going really well - 70k miles, still 11/12 battery health - until recently, hence this post.

I got home a few weeks ago as normal, put the car on to charge overnight. Next morning, the engine management light came on and the car wouldn't move; battery hadn't charged at all.

I swapped the 12v battery, and car restarted, but as soon as it was plugged in to charge, it cut out, and party discharged the new 12v battery at the same time.

I recharged the 12v battery, car re-started ok (engine management light still on) and took the car to the Nissan dealership in Stirling. After lots of testing, they think it is an issue with the main 30kWh battery, which means a trip to Gateshead and a likely cost larger than the value of the car.

So, at the moment, I'm looking at scrapping it - this post is to ask if anyone has other suggestions?

Hopefully not too late: Contact Cleevley (sp?) EV and they can be booked to come to you for a diagnosis.
